Program History

Started in 2001, the Duke Club Baseball program has risen to prominence as one of the best-run student organizations at Duke.  The program has been growing steadily every year, with participation more than tripling in the last four years.  Past greats like Justin Darkoch, who holds the Duke single-season record for plate appearances, hits, and doubles, and Jared Newman, who holds the record for wins on the mound, have moved on, giving way to current studs like Dave Bochetto and Frank Lowery, who will continue their assault on the Duke records books throughout the 2008-09 season.  Duke plays in the National Club Baseball Association (NCBA) Division II District IV conference, consisting of Craven Community College, UNC Wilmington, and Furman.
